My birth story didn’t go as planned. It was long, intense, and left me deeply traumatized in ways I’m still working to understand. I did hire a birth photographer, but we didn’t get to capture the exact moment my daughter was born — we only have the moments leading up to it.
Still, those photos — the quiet laboring, my husband’s hand in mine, the tears and the strength remind me that even when so much felt out of my control, there was power and love in it all.
I’m offering birth photography now because every mother deserves to see her own strength,
however her story unfolds. Birth is raw, sacred, and worth remembering.
I want to hold space for you and your family so when memories fade, you have images that say: I
was there. I was strong. I did that.
I know how vulnerable it is to invite someone into your birth space. I don’t take that trust lightly
and I hope these photos help you heal, remember, and honor your story.

Meaning I’m not able to be on 24/7 standby, but I’d still love to be there if the timing works out. I’ll do my best to be available around your estimated due date — and we’ll have a backup plan too, just in case baby’s timing doesn’t match mine!

FAQ
What happens if I give birth before 38 weeks?
Because I’m on call starting at 38 weeks, if you go into labor before 37 weeks, please contact me as soon as possible. I will do my absolute best to be there, but very early births can be unpredictable. If I’m unavailable at that time, I will make sure to offer a postpartum session to capture those precious early moments with your baby once you’re settled at home. Your story is important, no matter when your baby arrives.
What kind of births do you take?
I’m accepting clients for home births, hospital births, and birth center births. Wherever and however you choose to welcome your baby, I’d be honored to support and capture your journey.
When is payment due?
A retainer of 30% of your total package is due at booking to secure your spot on my calendar. The remainder of the payment is due by 37 weeks of pregnancy.
Will you post my photos online?
I only share images that I have your clear permission to share. Any photos I’d love to include on my website or social media will always be sent to you first for your approval. Your birth story is sacred, and I respect your privacy above all else.
Why is birth photography so expensive?
Birth photography is an investment because it’s unlike any other type of photography. When you hire a birth photographer, you’re not just paying for photos — you’re paying for their time, expertise, and dedication to be on call 24/7, often for weeks.
When you book me as your photographer, I clear my calendar, limit travel, and stay ready day or night to drop everything and come to you when you need me.
You’re also investing in someone who knows how to move quietly and respectfully in your birth space, capture moments without intruding, and tell your story honestly and beautifully — even in unpredictable or challenging lighting.
